Then I had the good fortune to work on some amazing collections including the Janice B. Longone Culinary Archive, the Gordy-Motown Collection, and the Women's History In Michigan Science and Engineering (WHIMSE) Oral Histories. As my career developed, my trajectory changed from archives and special collections to working with underprivileged students at ITT Technical Institute and Owens State Community College. However, my love of metadata has never wavered. In fact, I feel even more strongly about the importance of information literacy as well as transparent interface design because it is only by knowing what data is being queried and how that we can truly evaluate the efficacy of an answer.

Brief biography
Librarian for over a decade now. Interested in instruction, assessment, outreach, and UX.

At-large Representative Jennifer Wright
Brief biography
While my time at the University of Michigan has given me a substantial technical library background, it was in obtaining my MLIS at Wayne State that I was really able to engage in the kinds of UX activities I most value bringing to bear for patrons: wireframes, redesigns, surveys and proposals. I was then able to use this knowledge as part of my ongoing work on our committee charged with redesigning of the staff intranet, and feel very much that the end product should meet the needs of users, whoever they may be: patrons if public, staff if private; while still remaining flexible enough to cross those boundaries if necessary.
